Health and Safety Manual and CD
Compliance with the law and the wellbeing of both employer and employee is the foremost concern of MBSA.
The recently revised MBSA Occupational Health and Safety Manual For Construction Sites is available from your local MBA (follow link to Member Associations) or from the MBSA office. Also available in CD format. This extensive document provides all the necessary information pertaining to health and safety; not only does it serve as a useful tool complementing any existing programme, but can also provide for complete compliance with the OH & S Act.
MBSA and the MBAs promote a positive OH & S culture which contributes to the elimination of occupational injury, disease, loss and the prevention of damage to the environment.
This is achieved by laying down and developing solid management principles and by:
- informing members of new OH & S legislation;
- providing OH & S advice and guidance;
- assisting contractors to improve their OH & S programmes and procedures;
- carrying out site OH & S surveys and audits;
- conducting an annual national OH & S competition;
- assisting members with incident investigations and reports;
- arranging forums and workshops on informative OH & S topics;
- co-ordinating OH & S training courses.
Please contact your local MBA (Member Associations) for information on OH & S training courses.
